Permissions, confirmation and autonomous publishing

Choose what an assistant may do, how publishing confirmation works, how to enable autonomous publishing with limits, and how to stop or revoke access.

Permissions you can grant

Each connection has its own permissions. The assistant also needs the matching permission in your ChatAman role; a permission your role lacks can’t be granted.

You can also restrict a connection to selected accounts only.

Publishing confirmation

By default, publishing, scheduling and changing live posts need a recent confirmation:

  1. Open Developer tools → AI assistants.
  2. In Publishing confirmation, choose Email me a code.
  3. Enter the 6-digit code from your email and choose Confirm.

The confirmation lasts 15 minutes. The assistant never sees the code, and you should never give it the code.

Autonomous publishing

If you want an assistant to publish on its own, enable autonomous publishing on its connection:

  1. On the connection card choose Enable autonomous publishing.
  2. Choose the duration (7, 30 or 90 days), a daily post limit (up to 50) and the accounts.
  3. Confirm once with the code sent to your email.

Only the person who created the connection can enable it, and the connection must have the Publish and schedule permission.

While it’s on, the assistant can publish, schedule and reschedule on those accounts without a code, until the daily limit is reached. Outside those limits it asks for the normal confirmation.

What still applies: approval rules, paused publishing, your role permissions and account readiness. Every autonomous post is logged as autonomous.

Not included: editing or deleting live posts and replying to comments still need your confirmation or approval.

Stop now ends autonomous publishing immediately and returns posts it scheduled to draft. It also stops if you remove the publish permission or revoke the connection.

Comment replies

A reply proposed by an assistant is saved as a draft in the Review queue. A person can correct the text and approve it; only the approved text can be sent.

Revoke or change access

On the connection card choose Edit permissions to narrow access, or Revoke to cut access immediately. Revoking also stops posts that the connection scheduled.
