Claude.ai and Claude Desktop
- In Claude, open Customize → Connectors and choose Add custom connector.
- Enter the server address:
https://chataman.com/mcp - For the OAuth client choose Register automatically, then choose Sign in.
- The ChatAman consent page opens. Sign in if needed, choose the organization and the permissions for Claude, then choose Allow access.
- Back in Claude, the ChatAman tools appear under the connector. Start with: “Show my ChatAman connection context.”
Good to know
- Custom connectors are available on Claude’s Free, Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise plans. The Free plan allows one custom connector.
- On Team and Enterprise plans, an Owner adds the connector once in Organization settings → Connectors; each member then chooses Connect and signs in with their own ChatAman account.
- To change the organization or permissions later, edit the connection in Developer tools → AI assistants in ChatAman, or remove the connector and add it again.
Claude Code
Run this in your terminal:
claude mcp add --transport http chataman https://chataman.com/mcp
Then start Claude Code, run /mcp, select chataman and complete the sign-in in your browser.
With a connection token instead
Create a token in Developer tools → AI assistants and pass it as a header. Keep the token in an environment variable, never in a shared file:
claude mcp add --transport http chataman https://chataman.com/mcp --header "Authorization: Bearer YOUR_CHATAMAN_TOKEN"
Check that it works
Ask the assistant to call get_connection_context. It should show your name, the organization, its timezone and the permissions granted to this connection.
